Privacy Policy

This policy covers duhari.com (the "site"), operated by Duhari ("we", "us", "our"). By using the site you agree to the handling of information described here.

What we collect

We are deliberately light on data. Depending on how you use the site, we may collect:

• Newsletter email. If you subscribe, we store the email address you give us and the date you subscribed.
• Contact messages. If you use the contact form, we store the name, email and message you send so we can reply.
• Server logs. Like almost every website, our server records standard request data such as IP address, browser type and the page requested, for security, abuse prevention and debugging.
• Calculator inputs. When you use a cost calculator, the size and options you pick are sent to our server to compute a range. We do not tie these to your identity and do not build a profile from them.

We do not ask for or store payment details, government IDs, or sensitive personal data. There is no account system and no login for visitors.

How we use it

• To send the newsletter you asked for, and nothing else, to your email.
• To read and reply to your contact messages.
• To run the free calculators and return an estimate.
• To keep the site secure, prevent spam and abuse, and fix problems.

We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell or rent it. See "Sharing" below for the short list of service providers involved.

Legal bases (where the GDPR applies)

If you are in a region covered by the GDPR or a similar law, our legal bases for handling your data are: your consent for the newsletter, which you can withdraw at any time; our legitimate interest in replying to your messages, keeping the site secure and preventing abuse; and, where relevant, compliance with a legal obligation. We rely on legitimate interest only where it does not override your rights and freedoms.

Cookies & tracking

We use only the cookies the site needs to function, such as a session and a security (CSRF) token. We do not run advertising cookies or cross-site ad trackers. If we add privacy-respecting analytics in future, we will update this policy and the Cookie Policy first. When you click an outbound link to a software vendor or a local pro, that third party may set its own cookies, which are governed by their policy, not ours.

Affiliate links

Some outbound links are affiliate links. When you follow one, the destination may record that the visit came from us so any resulting sale can be credited. This lets us earn a commission at no cost to you and never affects our reviews. See the Affiliate Disclosure for detail.

Sharing & processors

We do not sell your data. We share it only with the service providers we need to run the site, and only for that purpose:

• Hosting (our hosting provider) stores the site and its data.
• Email delivery (our email delivery provider) sends the newsletter and transactional email.

These providers act on our instructions as processors, not for their own marketing. We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety or property of Duhari or its users.

Data security

The site is served over encrypted HTTPS, and the small amount of data we hold sits with reputable hosting and email providers. We limit who can access it and keep the attack surface small by not collecting more than we need. No method of transmission or storage is ever perfectly secure, but collecting little is our strongest protection: there is simply not much here to lose.

Retention

We keep newsletter emails until you unsubscribe, and contact messages for as long as needed to handle your request and our records. Server logs are kept for a limited period for security and then rotated out.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, to object to or restrict its use, to receive a copy in a portable form, and to opt out of marketing. To exercise any of these, email [email protected] and we will respond within the time the law allows. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in any email. If you believe we have mishandled your data, you may also complain to your local data-protection authority.

California residents

We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA, and we do not use it for cross-context behavioural advertising. California residents have the same access and deletion rights described above and will not be treated differently for exercising them. To make a request, email [email protected].

Do Not Track

Because we do not track you across sites, a browser "Do Not Track" signal has nothing to switch off here. We operate that way by default: no cross-site profiling and no data sold.

Children

Duhari is a business-tools and home-services site meant for adults. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us data, email us and we will delete it.

International transfers

Our providers may process data in countries other than yours. Where that happens, we rely on the safeguards those providers offer, such as standard contractual clauses, to keep your data protected.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site changes. When we do, we will change the effective date above and, for material changes, note it on the site.
